Contro Horror Vacui

About

Horror Vacui (Latin for "fear of empty space") refers to the tendency in visual art to fill every part of a surface with detail, leaving little to no unoccupied areas. This instinct, rooted in Aristotle's idea that "nature abhors a vacuum," suggests that such spaces are unnatural and will eventually be filled. It often results in densely populated and intricate designs.

Contro Horror Vacui presents a series of interactive posters that challenges this concept of emptiness, inviting the audience to explore its significance and impact in design and life. The project aims to transform emptiness into something tangible and engaging, encouraging the audience to play and interact with the design. Available to try in desktop mode ;)
